Reservations Needed for Confirmation Banquet


On Saturday, April 20 at 6:15 p.m.,  the Confirmation students, parents, mentors, teachers and friends will gather in Parish Hall to celebrate this year’s class. The evening will be begin with appetizers followed by a catered buffet dinner.  After the meal there will be recognition of this year’s Confirmation students and a rehearsal of the Confirmation service in the nave.  This year’s class has been very involved in multiple learning experiences. In addition to their regular Sunday morning sessions, they have worshipped with other faith communities, learned with their parents on a retreat at Lake Junaluska and collected food items and money for Second Harvest Food Bank and Heifer Project International.  Each student will make his/her profession of faith and be confirmed at the 8:30 am service on April 21.
NOTE: If you would like to attend the Confirmation Banquet on April 20, please make your reservations by calling the church office, 524-3048 or e-mail reservations@churchstreetumc.org no later than Monday, April 15. The cost is $15/person, payable at the door.
